Zamek Miramare

Miramare Castle is a charming 19th-century fortress situated overlooking the Gulf of Trieste, between Barcola and Grignano in Trieste, in the eastern part of Italy.

It was built for the Austrian Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian and his wife, Charlotte of Belgium. The castle grounds include extensive areas with a beautiful 22-hectare park, inviting guests to explore tropical flora and picturesque views of the seaside cliffs.
